What is Counselling
The Counselling Journey – Help is at hand
First, I will offer an assessment session. This is where you will meet with me as your counsellor, and together we gather information about you and explore the therapy journey. This also allows you to ask any questions and see if therapy is right for you. I can offer time-limited or long-term therapy – the sessions take place weekly or fortnightly and last for around 50 minutes.
Together, on a regular basis, we review your progress to ensure that your expectations and goals are being met. My counselling is worked around you and your personal needs and we will work to set up a therapy contract. However, if at any time you feel you do not wish to continue your journey, you are free to end your counselling at any time.
If you’d like to know more about how counselling can help you deal with issues such as bereavement, depression, stress, anxiety and sexual abuse, please contact me for more information.
Forest Counselling Service can help you find coping strategies that work for you in these difficult times to learn you to understand and manage yourself better. From my consultation room, I offer local counselling throughout Cheshire and Staffordshire and national counselling available online through Zoom, WhatsApp or any of the other encrypted online conferencing platforms.
I realise that in some situations, it may be difficult for you to take a phone call or receive emails. Please let me know if there are any times or methods of communication I should avoid or any specific times I should contact you.
